System design to reduce biofouling in the cultivation of oysters in the Belgian part of the North Sea

The goal of my master thesis was to design a system that reduces the biofouling on the baskets that are used to cultivate oysters. If the biofouling covers more and more of the surface of the basket, it can have serious consequences. It can eventually lead to the death of the oysters.

My thesis is mostly confidential until 2030 but I have the permission to share some pictures of the concept as can be seen on the left and a little concept movie that I made. The movie is shown down below (with audio).
